MINISTER CLIFFTON G. SPELLER was born on September 20, 1963. He is the youngest of
three children born to the late Shirley Speller. Cliffton was educated in the Baltimore City
school system and received his G.E.D. in 1984. His grandmother and his Pastor were
instrumental in Cliffton's spiritual journey. After years of fighting his addiction to drugs and
alcohol, Cliffton surrendered, and has been clean and sober for over 20 years.
Cliffton joined the Unity Fellowship Church Movement in 1997 at Inner Light Unity
Fellowship Church in Washington, DC. There, he served as a Youth Leader and faithful
congregant. In December of 2000, he joined the church building team under Pastor Harris
Thomas and transferred his membership to Unity Fellowship Church of Baltimore, where
he worked in many capacities, including Pastor's Aide, the Voices of Life Choir, the SHARE and CARE Ministries,
and the Audio-Visual Ministry. He began his liturgical training as a Deacon Candidate in 2002, was ordained as a
Deacon in October of 2006, and was ordained as a Minister in October of 2010.
Since serving in Baltimore, Minister Speller was also instrumental in bringing Narcotics Anonymous meetings to
UFCB. He has taken his biblical and liturgical training under the guidance of Pastor Harris Thomas and the Rev.
Jerri Lee Harrison (now of UFC NewArk).
