Reverend Harris has been active in the church all of her life, and with the Unity Fellowship Church of Baltimore and its ministries since 2003. She was ordained Reverend in October, 2007. She is currently the 2nd Assistant Pastor of UFCB, the Minister of Administration, and leads the women's ministry. She also serves on the Christian Education Committee, the Ministerial team, and the Pastoral team.

Reverend Harris is currently a JD candidate at the University of Baltimore. She received an MA in American Studies and a BA in English from the Univeristy of Buffalo. Reverend Harris is a nationally recognized educator, published author, workshop faciltator, public speaker, and college faculty. Having held progressively responsible positions in higher education administration at various colleges and universities for over 25 years, she is currently the Associate Dean for Enrollment Management and Associate Professor of Liberal Studies at Southeastern University in Washington, DC. She is also an adjunct professor for Howard Community College in Columbia Maryland.

Reverend Harris is the mother of two young adults, a son, Azubike, and a daughter, Chioma
